How did you get your start in publishing?

I grew up in Kansas City, MO, and moved to NYC after college. After various internships and part-time gigs as a writing consultant and bookseller, I landed a position at Penguin Random House.

Can you help me get a job in book publishing?

If you have copyediting/proofreading experience and are interested in freelancing, or you’re interested in going into production or managing editorial, feel free to reach out using the form in the Contact section of this website. I’m always happy to answer questions!

Can you help me publish my book?

I can help you polish up your work for submission if you’re interested in hiring a freelance editor. However, nearly all big publishing houses require you have a literary agent before submitting to them, so that should be your first step.
